The innovative B2B platform for hotel, flight, and transfer bookings, RateHawk, has highlighted the five travel destinations most booked by travel professionals for their clients in 2025. The review covers a range of categories, including the most-booked destination, fastest-growing, most luxurious, most budget-friendly, and longest-stay escapes.
Most Booked – Italy
Italy topped the list for 2025, with popular cities including Rome, Milan, Florence, and Venice. Italy also hosted the year’s most luxurious booking: a six-member family spent over $311,000 for a 14-night stay at a five-star boutique hotel in Sardinia.
Fastest Growing – Japan
Japan saw the highest growth among the top 30 destinations, with a 94% year-on-year increase in hotel bookings via RateHawk. With over 30 million arrivals by October 2025, Japan continues to break records as a major global travel hotspot. Popular cities include Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto, while travelers are increasingly exploring remote destinations like Okinawa and Hokkaido.
Most Budget-Friendly – Bolivia
Bolivia emerged as the most affordable destination, with an average nightly rate of $79. Travelers favored La Paz, rich in Aymara culture, and Santa Cruz, a fast-growing economic hub surrounded by jungle. Many visitors also explore the unique Uyuni salt flats, often staying overnight for an unforgettable experience.
Luxury Travel – Egypt
Egypt stood out for premium five-star hotel bookings, representing 60% of total overnight stays. Top cities included Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada, and Cairo. Egypt continues to develop luxury travel infrastructure, including new resorts on the Red Sea and adventurous experiences such as Nile cruises.
Longest Stay – Aruba/Maldives
While the global average stay in 2025 was three nights, travelers visiting remote island destinations like Aruba or the Maldives stayed twice as long, averaging six nights. These destinations are renowned for white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters, offering relaxation and a variety of water activities, including whale-watching in winter and spring.
Astrid Kastberg, CEO of RateHawk, stated: “Regardless of travel purpose, budget, or duration, our B2B booking platform, powered by AI-assisted search and detailed content filters, enables travel professionals to craft truly memorable trips. In 2025, our platform offered 2.9 million accommodation options. In 2026, we plan to expand further, focusing on Southern Europe, the Middle East, the Asia-Pacific region, and North America, providing the best deals for our partners and their travelers.”
