London travel news LIVE: Tube hit by two suspensions as commuters face fresh disruption – London Evening Standard

Two shocking incidents on National Rail over the weekend have wreaked havoc on train travel across the UK
On Saturday evening, a knife rampage on an LNER service saw 10 people stabbed, with one victim remaining in critical condition.
Travel turmoil was once more exacerbated this morning following a train derailment in Cumbria, with ambulance services currently on the scene.

A train derailment between Penrith and Oxenholme has resulted in all lines being blocked.
Services between Carlisle and Preston may face delays of up to 120 minutes or be cancelled.
Significant disruption is expected to continue for the rest of the day.
Traffic is slow moving northbound, with delays beyond Sun in the Sands.
Traffic is slow moving in both directions on Merton High Street, with westbound queues back to High Street Colliers Wood and eastbound from after Merton Road.
In addition Morden Road has northbound delays from Merantun Way.
Expect delays.
Severe delays between Elephant and Castle and Queen’s Park due to an earlier customer incident.
Tickets will be accepted on London Buses and Thameslink services.
Aldgate East’s gallery entrance is closed due to staff shortages.
This station is closed until Wednesday.
Use local London Buses services.
No Metropolitan line service between Baker Street and Aldgate due to a track fault at Baker Street.
Use the Circle and Hammersmith & City lines to complete your journey.
No Piccadilly line service between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge due to a shortage of available trains caused by significant leaf fall.
Please use the Metropolitan line to complete your journey.
There is a good service on the rest of the line.
There are minor delays on the Jubilee line due to train cancellations.
The Elizabeth line is now providing a good service.
