Houston, TX – The Greenleigh will open in the Spring 2026 and bring a new level of modern luxury to Houston’s River Oaks District. The 299-room lifestyle hotel is designed as an urban oasis where travelers and locals can relax, dine, and connect within a setting surrounded by oak trees, native grasses, and wildflowers.

The Greenleigh is developed and managed by Makeready, known for its collection of design-driven, community-focused hotels. Makeready’s approach is to that feel local and inspired. Surrounded by oak trees, native grasses and wildflowers, the property is expected to offer a calm, natural backdrop within the energy of the city.
The hotel will feature dLeña, the signature restaurant from chef Richard Sandoval, who is known for his wood-fired Mexican cuisine and Oaxacan influences. The rooftop bar Highgrass will have sweeping skyline views. Highgrass is expected to be lively and offer crafted cocktails. Other amenities will include a swim club, a trade room bar and more than 13,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space—ideal for business meetings, private celebrations, and corporate retreats.

Makeready explains that it’s design vision for The Greenleigh will blend warm textures, modern lines and natural materials. The company calls this a “thoughtful balance between sanctuary and social connection.” This mix of design and hospitality aims to offer travelers and locals an experience that feels elevated yet approachable.
Guest room rates start at $329, The Greenleigh is expected to become a destination of choice for Houston’s business travelers, weekend guests, and River Oaks locals—a place where the spirit of the city meets a new standard of modern comfort.
