Planning Thanksgiving travel in the coming weeks and want to prepare for the late fall weather?
The Old Farmer’s Almanac has released its special Thanksgiving 2025 travel weather map so you can prepare for your travels or your time at home.
Check out their map and their predictions for Thanksgiving’s weather.
The Almanac predicts the Ohio Valley’s Thanksgiving will begin chilly but gradually get warmer with a mix of rain and sun, but some areas of Ohio will have more of one than the other.
The Lower Lakes region, which covers a northern swath of the state, will trend warmer, with plenty of sunshine across the region and no rain or snow to slow down your travels—whether you’re navigating highways or heading out for a post-feast walk.
In the Ohio Valley region, spanning through the southern portion of the state, “the week starts off, but warmth builds toward Thanksgiving Day.” The Almanac predicts a few passing showers in the region midweek, but nothing strong enough to spoil road trips or holiday plans.
This year, Thanksgiving falls on Nov. 27.
