Mumbai commuters can now enjoy a simpler and smarter way to travel across the city’s metro network with the launch of the OneTicket App on the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) network.
An official statement said that as the Mumbai Metro continues to grow rapidly, with the current 70 km network expected to reach 340 km, there was a pressing need for a unified ticketing system. Different lines are managed by different operators, often leading to confusion and multiple ticket purchases. To address this, SequelString, with the support of Mumbai Metro One, has launched the OneTicket App — a single digital platform that allows passengers to book tickets across all operational metro lines in one go.
“The app is built on ONDC’s digital infrastructure, which connects commuter needs to metro services seamlessly,” the statement said.
First launched for Mumbai Metro Line 3 in June 2025, the app has now been enhanced based on user feedback. It is now available for wider use across multiple metro lines. The app is available on the Google Play Store for Android users as “OneTicket” and on the Apple App Store for iPhone users as “OneTicketIndia”. It is designed to be user-friendly, requiring only a few steps to log in and book tickets-
How it works?
– Download and sign up using your mobile number.
– Select source and destination stations (nearest station is auto-selected).
– Choose number of tickets (up to 4).
– Pay using UPI, credit or debit cards.
– Receive a QR code ticket directly in the app, ready to scan at metro gates.
Ravish Sahay, CEO of SequelString AI, said, “This is a landmark moment, not just for technology but for citizens. SequelString is proud to support ONDC’s vision of combining AI, mobility, and digital commerce to redefine travel in India.”
Commuters no longer need to buy separate tickets on different apps for different metro lines. The app even provides station details, making it helpful for both daily travellers and newcomers to the metro system, the statement said.
Nitin Nair, Senior Executive Director at ONDC said, “The ONDC Network now offers unified access to Mumbai’s metro lines. With the OneTicket Consumer App, a commuter travelling from Dahisar to BKC can now book the full journey in one go – no more multiple apps or payments.”
