TOLEDO, Ohio — The WTOL 11 Weather Team has issued a Weather Impact Alert for Tuesday morning as widespread and possibly dense fog is expected to form overnight.
Chief Meteorologist Chris Vickers said areas of fog will begin to develop after midnight and thicken into daybreak. Visibility may fall to less than a half-mile in many locations, creating hazardous travel conditions for the Tuesday morning commute.
The dense fog could also cause numerous school delays or even closings if it lingers into the morning hours. Fog is expected to gradually lift after 9 a.m., though some areas may not clear until late morning.
