KEY TAKEAWAYS:
- Breeze launches nonstop flights from New Orleans to Myrtle Beach and Savannah
- Fares start at $59 for limited-time promotional tickets
- New Orleans now offers 16 nonstop Breeze routes
- Airline ranked among top U.S. carriers for innovation and service
Breeze Airways has expanded its New Orleans service with new nonstop flights to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and the return of service to Savannah, Georgia, the airline announced September 4.
The Utah-based carrier launched twice-weekly flights from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport to Myrtle Beach, with fares starting at $59 one way. Nonstop flights to Savannah have resumed, operating twice a week on Mondays and Fridays.
With the additions, Breeze now offers 16 nonstop routes from New Orleans, one of the airline’s crew bases. Founder and CEO David Neeleman said the service strengthens the company’s ties to the city, where it has steadily expanded its presence since its 2021 debut.
Breeze operates in 78 cities across 35 states, focusing on underserved markets that often lack nonstop connections. The airline, which flies a fleet of Airbus A220-300 aircraft, has been recognized for its low-cost, customer-friendly approach. This year, it was ranked the No. 3 domestic airline by Travel + Leisure and named to Fast Company’s list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies.
The carrier promotes itself as a premium low-cost option, offering free family seating, onboard Wi-Fi, and no change or cancellation fees. Promotional fares for the new routes are available through Sept. 12 for travel between Sept. 19 and Jan. 31.
