HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A ground stop has been issued at Houston's Hobby Airport (HOU) and George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) due to thunderstorms on Friday evening.
The IAH ground stop is expected to last until 10:30 p.m.
The ground stop at HOU was lifted at 7:50 p.m., but departures are still delayed. Officials say the average delay is about 1 hour and 9 minutes.
