WEST GOSHEN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced a new phase of construction along Route 3 (West Chester Pike) as part of a broader effort to enhance safety and traffic flow on the West Chester Pike/East Gay Street/Market Street corridor in Chester County.
Beginning Monday, July 21, and continuing through Friday, August 8, weekday lane closures with flagging will be in effect on Route 3 between Westtown Road and Spring Lane. Work will occur during two time windows: from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and again from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning. Both directions of traffic will be affected.
Motorists should anticipate delays and allow extra travel time while navigating the area. All construction is weather dependent.
Highway Materials, Inc., based in Flourtown, is leading the federally funded project. The milling and paving effort is part of a larger infrastructure improvement initiative targeting critical travel corridors in Chester County.
