FLORENCE, Ala. — Drivers along Highway 72 in Lauderdale County should prepare for delays as lane closures begin this week and continue throughout July.
According to the Florence-Lauderdale County Emergency Management Agency, the work zone stretches between Indian Springs and Sky Park Road. Crews will be active on both sides of the highway, causing delays during peak daytime hours.
Westbound drivers can expect extended travel times between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., while eastbound delays are expected from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
