Covering over 200 acres along Mexico’s stunning Caribbean shoreline, Perfect Day Mexico is set to revolutionize vacation experiences when it opens in fall 2027. This destination promises groundbreaking adventures, industry-first attractions, and exciting new twists on classic Royal Caribbean favorites, spread across seven distinct neighborhoods catering to thrill-seekers and families alike.
Loco Waterpark – Adventure lovers will find their paradise here with more than thirty exhilarating waterslides across five towering slide structures. Featuring the tallest waterslide tower across both North and South America, the standout attraction is Jaguar’s Peak—a towering 170-foot thrill ride boasting two side-by-side slides that deliver over two minutes of heart-pounding excitement. The park offers ten unique slides from this height, including the world’s longest coaster waterslide and the tallest family raft slide, designed to accommodate four to six riders together. Other adrenaline-fueled highlights include hydrolaunch slides that propel riders skyward and the world’s first-ever sombrero-shaped slide inspired by Mexico’s iconic hat. With adventure pools, a wave pool, and kid-friendly slides, Loco Waterpark ensures fun for every age.
Splash Cove – This vibrant neighborhood invites guests of all ages to dive into action with the world’s longest lazy river—offering a thrilling twist. The hour-long float features multiple access points, float-up bars, and cupholders on every tube to keep guests refreshed. For the brave, a “crazy” section of the river includes exciting rapids, waves, spins, and unexpected twists. At the heart of Splash Cove lies a massive 100,000-square-foot pool, one of more than ten expansive pools that collectively cover an area the size of four football fields. Little explorers have their own playground at the largest Splashaway Bay ever created by Royal Caribbean, complete with kid-sized waterslides. Families can relax nearby in the first-ever Splashaway Cabanas, offering a perfect base camp.
El Hideaway – Designed exclusively for adults, this neighborhood welcomes guests aged eighteen and above to enjoy all-day celebrations with a zero-entry pool, swim-up bar, and a live DJ spinning tunes right in the water. For unforgettable parties, the Ultimate Party Cabana accommodates up to twenty guests with its own private pool and bar. Those seeking a more laid-back vibe can lounge in cabanas or enjoy live music alongside beachfront bars with sand between their toes.
Costa Beach Club – Elevate your beach experience with access to pristine white sand, a heated infinity pool, and gourmet dining at the upscale Costa Beach Club. For those wanting privacy and luxury, private cabanas come with personal attendants, exclusive amenities, and dedicated pool space, offering a lavish retreat.
Chill Beach North and South – Stretching nearly two miles along the coast from the pier, Chill Beach’s north and south sections showcase the natural splendor of Mexico’s coastline. Visitors can unwind on complimentary loungers, under umbrellas, and with towels provided at every beach and pool throughout Perfect Day Mexico.
Fiesta Plaza – The heart of the celebration, Fiesta Plaza welcomes guests with vibrant energy, live music, and traditional dance performances. The iconic centerpiece is the world’s largest sombrero perched above the Tipsy Sombrero bar, where visitors can enjoy margaritas, beers, and festive drinks in true Mexican style.
“We’re committed to pushing the boundaries of what a modern-day vacation can be – delivering innovative experiences that create unforgettable memories for our guests and value for the communities we visit,” said Jason Liberty, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean Group. “As we continue to innovate and expand our offerings at sea and on land, our ambition is to offer our guests a diverse range of experiences that grow with them, turning the vacation of a lifetime into a lifetime of vacations.”
Royal Caribbean is advancing its long-term collaboration with local authorities and the community to create Perfect Day Mexico, a cutting-edge, eco-friendly destination designed to attract travelers worldwide to Mexico. Throughout the entire development process and afterward, the port will stay fully operational. Royal Caribbean is also constructing a new welcome center to introduce visitors from all cruise lines to the iconic sites of the Mahahual region and offer convenient transportation options across the area. This Perfect Day Mexico project, along with related community infrastructure improvements, aligns with Royal Caribbean Group’s SEA the Future initiative, which focuses on delivering exceptional vacation experiences while prioritizing environmental sustainability, community empowerment, and innovation.
“At Royal Caribbean, our ambition is bigger than ever, and so is our lineup of amazing experiences we are designing, all centered on our guests,” said Kara Wallace, chief marketing officer, Royal Caribbean. “Vacationers trust us to help them make every moment a memory, which is why we are changing the game with unforgettable experiences at Perfect Day Mexico and beyond.”
Royal Caribbean creates unforgettable vacations for over seven million travelers each year, sailing to more than three hundred destinations aboard a fleet of twenty-eight ships, with four additional vessels currently being built. Over the next three years, the brand will broaden its destination offerings to six exclusive locations by introducing four innovative experiences that will transform the vacation landscape.
