There were major delays on part of the M4 after a car caught fire while thousands descended on Margam for the In It Together Festival. Queues built on the westbound and eastbound stretches of the motorway ahead of the festival.
In addition a car caught fire on the westbound carriageway at Junction 42 for Earlswood. The lane was shut for recovery and reopened at around 5.30pm.
It came as thousands descended on Old Park Farm from Friday to Sunday, for the three-day festival, which is headlined by Kaiser Chiefs, Becky Hill and Ronan Keating.
There were more queues around Wales today, May 23, as families set off on bank holiday and half-term getaways. Traffic Wales has warned that traffic is set to increase by approximately 15% on the M4 near Cardiff.
There were notable delays this evening on the M4 in Newport near Brynglas Tunnels.
There are also set to be a number of other major events held over the course of the next few days in the world of sport, music and Welsh culture.
The EPCR Challenge Cup Final began at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Friday night at 8pm, followed by the Investec Champions Cup Final, also at the home of Welsh rugby, on Saturday, with a 2.45pm kick-off. It is affecting the westbound carriageway at J42 A483 (Swansea East / Briton Ferry).
There is congestion up until J40 (Port Talbot / Taibach).
Traffic was already congested here due to the bank holiday weekend and the In It Together festival in Margam.

A journey from Margam to Swansea on the M4 will currently take around 55 minutes. It will take more than one hour via the A48 and M4.

It states: "A4076 Vine Road southbound blocked, queueing traffic due to broken down vehicle from Haverfordwest to the petrol station (Haverfortwest)."
A4076 Dredgman Hill is blocked in both directions due to a broken down vehicle from Silverdale Close (Johnston) to Haverfordwest.

Cowbridge Road West in Cardiff has reopened after a "small" crash.
South Wales Police confirmed officers did attend, but the crash had already cleared.

Delays continue on M4 Brynglas Tunnels westbound before junction 26 A4051 (Malpas Road).

Cardiff's A48 Cowbridge Road west is closed in both directions due to an obstruction on the road from Heol-Y-Felin to Colin Way.
There's a diversion in place, affecting bus services 13, 17, 18 and 96.

In It Together is back at Margam, Port Talbot, with thousands descending on the area for the event. It is expected that people heading to the event will cause significant traffic.
Just off junction 38 of the M4 we'll see big acts from the world of music grace the stage of the third year of the local festival.
Headlining the weekend will be the Kaiser Chiefs, Becky Hill and former Boyzone member Ronan Keating. The weekend will run from Thursday, May 22 (for campers) and finish on Sunday, May 25.
